Antique and vintage style Sacramento wedding flowers

February 7, 2011

I love all types and styles of floral design.  Modern clean and spare.  Romantic, lush and girly.  Garden- like, unassuming and unstructured.  But the style of floral design closest to my heart is eclectic with an antique feel.  I love to grab flowers that speak to me because of the shape or color and drop them into a collection of containers at hand.  I have been collecting a wide range of bottles, compotes, tea cups, vases and other flower holding containers since the late 1980’s.

This pretty milk glass compote was graced with a Luxecuts Monogram Butterfly. Love Luxecuts!  Please check them out.  What a wonderful way to add a truly handmade and interesting touch to your wedding decor.

Depression glass tea cup holds loose pearls and a votive candle.  The turquoise blue ball jar arrangement is accented with the Leaf Monogram card from Luxecuts.

This Luxecuts monogram card is made of bamboo.  But check out the site to see what other materials they offer.

The perfect bouquet to match the arrangements would have to be this loose collection of red anemones and geranium leaves tied with a gingham ribbon.  So pretty!
