Camryn had a vision of natural flowers with a casual garden inspired feel for her wedding. With the neutral yet rustic backdrop that the venue, the Old Sugar Mill, offered we immediately were onboard with her vision and consequently, we could see how the florals designed within this brief would tie in with her chosen venue beautifully.
Miles’ boutonniere was designed to compliment the bridal bouquet. The stem of the boutonniere was made up of natural stems which were tied with a small knot of ivory ribbon. Flowers included White Majolica spray roses, seeded Eucalyptus and Italian Ruscus.
The arch was decorated with a garland of Eucalyptus, Olive leaves, Italian Ruscus and Baby’s Breath. It felt like the whole ceremony could have been moved to Italy and probably wouldn’t have looked out of place!
Clusters of Olive leaves and Eucalyptus were tied with ribbon at the end of each aisle chair. To compliment, the couple added large log slices to add to the casual garden inspired theme. Finally, the couple were showered with Olive leaves as they made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife. Honestly… this really could have been in Italy, hey?!
Because Camryn wanted her florals to have a feeling of garden inspired casualness her bouquet was a romantic collection of blooms, greenery and textural elements. It was designed in a slightly asymmetrical, but still rounded shape. Tendrils of greenery trailed from the bouquet in order to keep the bouquet relaxed. In order to keep everything neutral the bouquet featured shades of white, ivory, emerald green and sage green. Some of the florals we included were Quicksand roses, white Lisianthus, white Hydrangea, seeded Eucalyptus, Italian Ruscus, Silver dollar Eucalyptus, White Majolica spray roses and Olive leaves.
The bridal party looked gorgeous in their nude dresses so in order to not overpower them, the bouquets were kept simple. With a mix of Baby’s Breath, Olive leaves and Silver dollar Eucalyptus we think they compliment the overall look perfectly.
The Old Sugar Mill offers a rustic room for the wedding reception with almost an industrial feel. Festoon Lights were hung from the high ceilings drawing guests’ attention all the way up to the fantastic feature beams. The dark wood chairs perfectly complimented the light nude shades of the linen and again, we saw why Camryn wanted to keep florals natural. The venue is perfectly neutral and consequently, our casual garden inspired flowers were a great fit.
The 24 foot long head table was decorated with 7 gold mercury glass vases to hold the bridal party bouquets. This is a great idea to ensure they don’t go to waste! 12 gold mercury glass votives were dotted between trailing Olive leaves and Eucalyptus branches. Finally, a touch of Baby’s Breath was added and as a result, gave the softness we needed.
With such a fabulous arch, it was a shame to not re-use this so the on site team kindly carefully moved this to create a beautiful feature behind the top table. Against the exposed brickwork, this made a great backdrop for Camryn and Miles.
Gold charger plates added a pop of glamour to the tables. Brass touches were added with votives, geo shapes and candlesticks which were a great contrast to the casual garden inspired flowers.
These images have done an amazing job at bringing the day to life. It looked truly amazing and above all, we’re so grateful to be a part of it! Thank you to Camryn and Miles for letting us share your day 🙂
