“Natural textures and soft flowers” were the key words we noted after meeting with Stephanie to plan her wedding flowers. Stephanie envisioned arrangements with a lot of romantic floral choices and interesting textural elements. In addition to natural feeling designs, Stephanie wanted pops of gold in the candles and vessels to add a richness to the overall look of the reception.
The colors chosen were neutral with a touch of blush. Flowers included locally grown Café au Lait dahlias, Quicksand roses and spray roses. Café au Lait dahlias were the perfect flower to add texture to bouquets and roses softened the designs beautifully. Other textural elements used in the arrangements were Dusty Miller, Aster and Calcynia. To keep color palette soft and natural, the greenery chosen was in shades of sage, Eucalyptus and Olive. Stephanie’s bouquet also included a few stems of locally grown Tuberose which smelled amazing!
The bridal party gowns were stunning in soft lilac and champagne tones. The natural and blush colors in the bouquets were perfectly offset by the colors of the gowns.
The ceremony décor was kept simple with florals decorating a birch wood frame. The white from the frame was mimicked with white folding chairs which were decorated with hanging florals in textured muted gold vases. A sprinkling of fresh rose petals added a romantic touch to the aisle.
Boutonnieres were miniature clusters of textural elements and sprigs of greenery tied with a satin ribbon. James’ boutonniere featured a touch of a floral element as well.
Alongside the beautiful flower crown we made for their flower girl, Stephanie and James asked us to make a floral collar for their gorgeous black lab… now, that’s a shot for the mantlepiece if ever there was one!
Being a fun loving couple, Stephanie and James asked us to decorate a beautiful swing that hung in the grounds. The floral hand-tied arrangement added a touch of softness to the swing and made for a great photography spot for the bridal party and guests.
The champagne table linen lent a soft romantic feel when paired with the rustic backdrop of the ballroom at Viaggio Winery. We used the same selection of flowers from Stephanie’s bouquet and kept arrangements low to allow easy conversation at the dinner tables. Gold compote vases displayed the centerpieces perfectly and gold mercury glass votives were lent a soft glow to the tables.
The head table was lushly decorated with the repurposed arch flowers and bridal party bouquets displayed in gold vases. Gold mercury glass votives were woven through the display lending a sparkle and glow as the night continued.
Thank you Stephanie and James for allowing us to be a part of your beautifully romantic event. We wish you every happiness!
