Natural and Soft Textured Flowers- these were the key words we noted after meeting with Stephanie to plan her wedding flowers. Stephanie wanted a lot of textured elements and designs with lots of soft movement and accents of gold to be used throughout.
The colors chosen were neutral with a touch of blush. Flowers included locally grown Café au Lait dahlias, Quicksand roses and spray roses. The Café au Lait dahlia are a perfect flower to add texture to any bouquet and the roses soften the design beautifully. Other textural elements were Dusty Miller, Aster and Calcynia. To keep the natural look, greenery stayed in sage colors using Eucalyptus and Olive leaves. Stephanie’s bouquet also included a few stems of sweet smelling, locally grown Tuberose to help it stand out from the other bouquets.
The bridal party wowed in soft lilac and nude tones which perfectly complimented the natural and blush colors in the bouquets.
The ceremony décor was kept simple with florals decorating a birch wood frame. The white from the frame was mimicked with white folding chairs which were decorated with hanging florals in textured muted gold vases. A sprinkling of fresh rose petals added a romantic touch to the aisle.
Boutonnieres were miniature clusters of textural elements and sprigs of greenery tied with a satin ribbon with James having a floral element to help tie into Stephanie’s bouquet.
Alongside the beautiful flower crown we made for their flower girl, Stephanie and James asked us to make a floral collar for their gorgeous black lab… now, that’s a shot for the mantlepiece if ever there was one!
Being a fun loving couple, Stephanie and James asked us to decorate a beautiful swing that hung in the grounds. The floral hand ties added a touch of softness to the swing and made for a great photography spot for the bridal party and guests.
The nude table linen gave such a soft romance when paired with the rustic backdrop of the wedding breakfast room at Viaggio Winery. We used the same selection of flowers from Stephanie’s bouquet and kept arrangements low so conversation could flow at the dinner tables. Gold vases displayed the florals perfectly and gold mercury glass votives were dotted around the centrepieces to allow a touch of vintage elegance.
The top table was adjourned with a runner of foliage and floral displays in various heights. Gold mercury glass votives were woven through the greenery, adding a touch of sparkle as the reception continued.
Thank you Stephanie and James for allowing us to be a part of your beautifully romantic day. We wish you every happiness!
